4.2A good bet for a budget hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, which compensates for the no-frills facilities and breakfast. Located nearly at the northwestern tip of Venice, the neighborhood is very quiet, residential, set in a calm courtyard, near good restaurants right on the canal and vaporetti stops (lines 41-42, 51-52) going around Venice in both directions. A bit far from the hustle and bustle, but perfectly situated for exploring the Cannaregio by foot, and it's nice to return at the end of the day to a neighborhood (and a hotel) that doesn't feel touristic at all. My last night some of the other establishments and quais were flooded, but the hotel stayed dry. And there is free wi-fi.
