Nicely decorated, comfortable rooms with all the amenities. Beautiful public areas, modern elevator, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Everyone at the front desk went out of their way to make our stay in Venice just perfect.

"Fantastic little hotel"

We stayed at the San Zulian for four days in July 2004 and it could not be faulted. Our spacious room was always clean, tidy and cool; the staff were helpful; and the location (just a few metres from St Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge) was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be going back sometime soon.

"A little gem near St Marks Square - get the attic room if you can!"

This was our third visit to Venice and we wanted to stay near St Marks Square. We used TripAdvisor and found the San Zulian and in particular were recommended to get the attic room - and what a great piece of advice that turned out to be! The hotel itself is very well located in a small street off St Marks Square. The reception area is elegant but simple and service is very good. The attic room has a small verandah which has been glazed, giving you an all weather viewing room from which to survey the romantic city rooftops and bell towers. On Sunday mornings, you can lie in bed and listen to the bells of the many churches. Another huge plus was breakfast served in our room, every day, at no extra charge. I believe this is due to the hotel having either a very small or non existent dining room - they don't serve any meals other than breakfast. This was a huge bonus for us and breakfast in bed became a week long luxury. The hotel's excellent location meant we were within walking distance of many sights, restaurants and cafes so the lack of dining facilities in the hotel was irrelevant. Highly recommended (and we are very fussy!). This is not a huge luxury hotel, but it has such a great location and the attic room is such a gem, that it is quite unusual and wonderful.
