Although we didn't encounter bed bugs I have to say that this hotel is less than clean. In one room there was rubbish in the bin from the previous occupant, another room had a used band aid stuck to the bedspread and in another room the cleaners missed a row of the previous occupants underwear drying on the radiator. Rooms for singles closely resemble prison cells, opening onto a well used walkway - there is no privacy. Staff are amongst the rudest we have encountered, with one night staff member who pretended not to understand english with us and another guest, but later was able to speak perfect english. The location is great, walking distance to all major sights, just be prepared for attitude on the desk.

This two star hotel was great. The staff was helpful and we had a room in their annex a few streets down. The room was quiet, faced an interior courtyard and had a sweet partial canopy bed. The air conditioning in the room worked very well, everything was clean and the neighborhood – Cannaregio – had great restaurants and some less touristy haunts. The price, considering we were in Venice, was very fair. There is a computer in the breakfast room and free wireless in the main building. I would strongly recommend this hotel.
