Palazzo Dragoni - Spoleto, Italy 

We only had one night at this lovely small hotel but it was one of the best we encountered during our four weeks in Italy. Our room (no.10) was very comfortable & spacious with the most wonderful views. It was extremely quiet which for me is a necessity. The tariff was very reasonable for a hotel of this quality. Breakfast was as good as any we enjoyed in Italy, served in a lovely room with beautiful views. Although there was limited English at the hotel, the staff we encountered were very friendly & tried to help us with our queries as best as possible. The hotel position is very close to the Duomo & other interesting parts of Spoleto. There are lots of very good restaurants within walking distance. We arrived by train & took a taxi to the hotel. I would imagine that if you had a car, it might be a little more difficult to find. I would thoroughly recommend the Palazzo Dragoni for a stay in Spoleto.

This hotel is in a superb setting with wonderful views down the vale of Spoleto - make sure you get a room with this view. Located at the top of town, close to the Duomo, Rocco, Torre and restaurants. A little difficult to negotiate our way through the town by car as there were road works at the time but worth the effort. The breakfast was varied and good and the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious though a little cool at times as the radiator was faulty but this did not detract from our enjoyment.
