We booked the Lingatto on the Starwood website at $125 per night. We were upgraded to an excellent room, no charge. This hotel is located in the original Fiat auto factory, and there is (honest!) a car race track on the roof! I kid you not! The room itself was totally wonderful! I have not been there in the heat of the season, so this might be a problem, since the windows are HUGE. 15 ft ceilings, industrial chic quality furnishings, WiFi, huge bathroom with a (get this) reception room. I have been used to tiny EuroStyle accomodations, but this was exceptional. The main drawback: too far from downtown. The solution: the tram and bus to downtown was all of 2 blocks away. Problem solved. I totally disagree with reviews saying the staff was a negative. Our experience was excellent (we are Starwood FF, which might make a difference) As a whole, I cannot recommend Lingotto more fervently!

Interessante Lage in ehemaliger Fiat-Fabrik. Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit Aussicht auf Alpenpanorama. Etwas ausserhalb der City gelegen (6 km) aber kostenloser Shuttleservice am Abend. Sehr gutes Frühstück.

Nice Hotel that's a bit too content with it's less-than-superb ambitions. Too expensive for the level of service provided. 200+ euro/night for single and then a 21euro/day charge for internet!!?! Lobby is wireless but it's also a seperate pay-to-access service not run by the hotel. Relatively quiet/ie "dead" atmosphere. Slightly indifferent service. (front desk not always manned, bellman is "around"...somewhere, no explanation of amenities. I never did find the Gym?? Rooms are large and well appointed. Main lobby is sparse in a 1980's kind of way. Floor lobbies are anemic and characterless. Surroundings are safely coorporate. However, Architects will love the location. The FIAT Bldg is far more interesting than anything contained within it. (American style generic Shopping Mall, Muti-Screen Cinema, Food Court, Broken escalators, Clumps of teen smokers outside every door.) Be sure to ask for the key to the roof to get to the former test track! In Summation: You'll have a good stay but probably not a memorable one. No reason to come back unless you just have to.

since both Le Meriden hotels are within a few metres, it would be adviseable to differentiate between the 2, and as for parking, it was difficult to find and to locate one property..but once we arrived all was more than expected, the breakfast buffet was way above average, and the dinner in the dining room was excellent.
