Hotel Royal - Milano, Italy 

Anche se trovate una buona offerta per questo hotel (e vi assicuro che è facile trovarle on line) non sceglietelo! Meglio pagare un pochino di più ma almeno essere un po' più sicuri! I dintorni dell'hotel non sono tranquilli, la linea dell'autobus che porta dalla stazione centrale all'hotel è malfrequentata, la sera ho visto strane persone uscire dagli appartamenti (l'hotel è dislocato su un piano di un palazzo), l'ascensore è talmente malridotto che con il carico di una persona con valigie è partito a stento. Quando la sera sono tornata tardi il portiere dormiva, la porta d'ingresso era aperta, ho provato a svegliarlo ma senza risultato. Sono stata costretta a prendere la chiave della stanza da sola, alla faccia della sicurezza h24! Il giorno dopo non mi sono fidata neanche di lasciare le valigie alla reception. Mi raccomando, non basatevi sul prezzo.

We were staying at Royal for a week, and the entire time the feeling was like they were so unhappy that people come there. The first good impression of hotel’s lavish design is ruined pretty quickly by staff’s unfriendliness. The hotel is located on the middle of nowhere and no shuttle offered anywhere, even to the closest subway station. From hotel to Malpensa Airport we had to pay 100 euros for taxi. You have to get taxi to get anywhere and it takes forever the customer service to phone the taxi. The rooms definitely require better options, we have stayed at 3 star hotels in more luxurious rooms. Closets are useless, situated right by the enterance door and if opened simply impossible to get to the bathroom. When you turn TV on, first thing you see is pornography (some might like it of course). No space in the refrigerator for your own things, literally you cannot even place a yogurt in there, everything is packed and coded with their own drinks which are ridiculously expensive. No thermostat in the room, or may be it is there, but just for looks, you cannot control temperature in your room, so we just had wind/fan blowing the entire time, it was really cold. The restaurant is with ok food, extremely high prices (very small bowl of soup is 16 euro), and poor service, but again you’re stuck, because of the hotel location. There are no other food places around, so you have to take taxi…again. They display 5 stars on their name logo at the enterence, although everywhere else it is 4 or more like a money pit. But honestly the service you get there is worse then anywhere.
