Hotel Porto Azzurro - Sirmione, Italy 

We were planning to stay for 3 nights at this hotel, but unfortunately our plans were runed by the manager of this hotel... During our staying at this hotel the air conditioning was off, we asked for two days to turn on because of hot weather and there was not possibile to open the door to the balcony because of mosquitos. Every time the clerk on the reception was promissing us to take care of this and every time he was wondering why the manager turned off the air conditioning. On the third day in the morning (before our last night of staying) we met the manager and asked him about it, and he said us that this is the rule in this season that air conditioning is off all the time... (There is no note about this rule on their internet-site, and how is that his own employee didn't know about this rule???) Also he said that he "didn't come this morning dispute and we can choose rather to be quiet or to leave"! So... we left to another hotel for our last night...

Reviewer- Golders, Lichfield , England Stayed here the last week of July 2007. Found hotel staff to be helpful and whilst their english was not good it was adequate and much better than our Italian. Room was excellent with good air conditioning ( and spotlessly clean ) and overlooked the pool area. The restaurant food was varied . We found the hotel to be a quiet haven which suited our requirements ( so not for those seeking evening entertainment) . The hotel is very well situated for access to the autostrada for touring the locality and also has easy access to the ferry services at Sermione.
