Hotel Resonanz Vienna - Vienna, Austria     

What a little gem! In relation to what you pay for this hotel, my wife and I can highly recommend. We booked a last minute trip to Vienna and thanks to the reviews on tripadvisor, decided to go for this hotel. It more than lived up to expectations. It was 2 degrees outside, but nice and warm in the hotel and rooms. All was spotless and in good order. Our room was lovely and spacious with room for a table and chairs to boot. The bathroom had a decent size bath which is a pleasure after a long days sightseeing in freezing temperatures. The breakfast room was very clean, bright and pleasant. The breakfast which is included was simple, but of good standard and more than adequate. The price is good due to the location. It's about a 20 minute brisk walk from the centre, and is not in the most well-to-do part of town, but it's safe enough, and you can get the 21 or N tram from outside the hotel to the town centre - easy peezy. Tip - from the airport, don't bother with the CAT train. Hop on the normal S2 line (way cheaper) and get off at Praterstern. From there you can catch the 21 tram all the way to the hotel. (Just make sure you're travelling in the right direction on both the train and the tram). Have fun.

My Husband and I have just returned home after a 2 night stay at the Hotel Resonanz in Vienna. We would recommend this hotel for a good base close to the sights of Vienna and at a reasonable price. Once we realised you turned right out of the hotel door it took about 15 mins to walk to the centre of Vienna. We would recommend a good map as it can be a little confusing and took us a while to get our bearings. The hotel was extremely clean and friendly and excellent value for money. The room was very comfortable and had all the facilities needed. The bathroom was spacious and clean and fresh towels and toiletries were supplied daily. The only thing I would say is Reception advised us there was a safety deposit box in the room but we did not have one. There seemed to be a space in the wardrobe where it should have been but wasn't. If we had of been staying for longer then I would have said something but as it was we just left it. The breakfast was OK but not wonderful. But it compared to the normal continental breakfasts supplied in European countries. All in all we would say if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel close to the centre of Vienna then the Hotel Resonanz would suit you.
