The neighbourhood of Aventine Hill boasts some of the most significant monuments of ancient imperial Rome, including the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, the Caracalla Thermes and the Forum Romanum. Since the antiquity, the area has been home to sumptuous villas and temples, such as those dedicated to Cerere, Diana and Minerva.
You can also find numerous Christian churches, like S. Sabina, S. Prisca, S. Anselmo and S. Alessio. Within this magnificent frame is the ‘Garden of Roses’ (Roseto), which offers an explosion of colours in springtime.
