This hotel reminded us why not having your own toilet is simply annoying. We booked a room with bathroom, but that apparantly didn't include a toilet. Very disappointing. Apart from that, it's pretty expensive (breakfast not included!) and the room was quite small. Another annyoing point: the manager spoke English (think Marlon Brando in The Godfather, really!), but his wife didn't. Unfortunately, most of the dealings were with his wife, which made communication ... difficult, to say the least. All in all, if we had a choice, I think we'd choose a different hotel next time

Overall our stay was fine and uneven full. The rooms and the hotel in general had a nice charm to them however the walls and doors were very thin. However most of the tenants seemed to be well behaved so noise pollution was a huge problem. The owner was a bit peculiar in that he wanted cash instead of a credit card. In the end he excepted the credit card. The hotel is well located especially if you care to start your site seeing in Vatican City.

Pensione Lady is overpriced and underserviced. It was a great disappointment overall. The owners are unfriendly and the dog kept barking all night. My advice to fellow travellers: stay somewhere else.
