4.3We stayed in both Internationale Domus and the sister property Pierret Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The location is spectacular - right in the historic center, walk to everything (except perhaps for restaurants - the more colorful ones seem to be in Trastevere a few euros taxi ride away). This is a rare chance to spend a night in a 15th century palace in the center of the eternal city.
The minor quibbles we had were that the quadruple suite we booked, while extremely spacious, was simply a vast room with a king bed and a pull out couch plus a rollaway bed under the couch. This was fine, the kids could care less, but describing it as a suite for 4 is a bit of a stretch.
Also, in line with typical Italian properties, the air conditioning was a little anemic - and to be fair we were in Rome on spectacularly hot days, so in fact the room still felt cooler than the outside anyway.
I think the room we had one night in the Relais Pierret sister property (downstairs from Intl Domus) had been more recently renovated (as in last couple of years as opposed to last 7 or 8 - both rooms were very clean and efficient, no 15th centry plumbing or anything like that). It also had a tub instead of just a shower stall (easier for our young kids).
