"Great stay at Hotel D'Este"

Room was clean and tidy although a little on the small side, though this wasnt a problem as the purpose of the visit was sightseeing and very little time was spent in the room. Staff were friendly and helpfull at all times. A buffet style breakfast was served in a pleasant dining area and would probably suit the majority of visitors. There are plenty of eating places nearby the hotel. The location being just five minutes walk from the central termini makes it an ideal base for a sightseeing tour. The hotel is good value for money and I will be using it again and would recomend it to others

A Wonderful time in Rome

The hotel was a delight. The room, on the 6th floor, was small but had a wonderful veranda overlooking the street. The room was clean and quiet. The service in the hotel was very nice. The front desk was manned at all times and the people were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was very nice, with a good selection of hot and cold items. We had a very pleasant surprice when we went to the bar for drinks. The bar tender showed us to the buffet area where they had a wine bar and buffet set up and it was FREE. That lasted for 3 of the 4 nights we were there. The hotel is 1 block from the Metro. The metro was very clean and easy to use so being so close was a plus. We would definitely stay at the Villafranca again.

Hotel Villafranca is a nice hotel. Close to Termini and, therefore, all public transportation, but far enough away to be removed from the noise and traffic of downtown. Breakfast was awesome- eggs, bacon, breads, yogurt, cereal, etc. The staff were courteous and helpful. The triple room we had was like a suite- living room with a bed, mini-kitchen!- full bedroom, bathroom and hallway with a huge closet. Everything was brand new, tile floor and spotless. Complaints- the room we were given had a brand new air conditioner that did not work. Since it was Sunday there was no way to fix it. When we returned Monday from a full day of sight-seeing in HOT weather, it still wasnt' fixed. At that point, we were moved to another room. The internet is not included (no wi-fi).
