4My husband and I stayed at the Visconti Palace hotel for 4 nights in March. We had read the reviews about surly staff and disappointing breakfasts, and I am pleased to report that we found the exact opposite.
The staff were welcoming, pleasant and efficient, the lobby area is bright and welcoming. We scored with our room as we had a suite (we had just booked an ordinary room) Room was lovely and very clean.
Breakfast was great, buffet style, They have a massive selection of cereals, fruits, breads, rolls, meats and cheeses, then (if you have room) lots of pastries and croissants (The warm chocolate croissants were my personal favourite!)
Nice bar area, with ouside seating, and a lovely outside seating area on the 7th floor.
I loved loved loved Rome and am def going back, and would def stay at Visconti palace again.
Its about a 30 minute stroll to the Trevi fountain, 5 mins to Castel St Angelo and 40 mins to the Spanish Steps
Top Tip,
1 Dont mistake the nearby bank for the hotel , they are deceivingly similar ! !
2 Dont bring your pretty heeled shoes to Rome, the cobbles will ruin them, flat comfy shoes are essential !
