"Impressive Hotel"

The Visconti Palace is a very nice hotel in a good location. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and made us feel at home which is very important as not alot of people speak great English! The rooms were very clean and very modern, which was perfect for my taste. The breakfast in the morning was the usual cereals, fruit, yoghurts and cold meat, I didn’t think i'd like it that much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very near the Spanish Steps, and it’s easily possible to get to all the major attractions if you don’t mind a walk. I'd suggest getting the Metro B Line to the Coliseum and then walking back, as you pass lots of other big attractions. The Metro is very cheap and always entertaining with the musicians going up and down the carts all the time! Be warned though, eating out is very different from what I expected. Hardly any restaurants open till late so it’s usually a sandwich or fast-food outlet if you want something hot. There are lovely restaurants at Piazza Navarro, although can be expensive. My girlfriend and I had a great meal there on our last night which was very romantic and finished off the long weekend well. Overall, a great weekend that I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys seeing the world and travelling, or simply wants a romantic weekend away!

We chose this hotel at the last minute based on the reviews on venere.com and tripadvisor.com. Turned out to be a great value with the buy two nights, get one free promotion -- the room was clean, comfortable, good location, really close to Piazza Cavour (lots of buses) and Sant Angelo. A little bit of a walk from the metro but not bad at all (10-15 mins).

As a single traveller I was put in a half suite. The other half was occupied by different couples during my stay. Every word, every sneezing and snoring could be heard from the adjoining room through a several cm gap on top of the door inbetween. This can not be called privacy or undisturbed!

This was my first stay at the Visconti, but I would return again and again. Great location, clean room, and quite spacious. Staff was excellent.

We had two nights here before a Carnival curise. Rooms were nice and clean and good size and the staff was frinedly and helpful. No restaurant in the hotel just bar food, and a enjoyable continental breakfast all one needs to start they day. Not a bad walk to St. Peter's. You do need to ask for wash cloths in your bathroom for each day of your stay. Need to use your "key card" to turn on the lights in your room. Louisville,KY
