Hotel Lodi - Rome, Italy     

The ratings i saw for the place were really good, but it still exceeded my expectations. My room was great, very clean, air conditioned, very comfortable, and had a good bathroom. The thing i liked the most is that it was extremely secure, i left my passport, credit card, and all my other important things in my room my entire stay and i never worried about it. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and always trying to help u. Right when i got there they gave me a little something to eat and drink and sat me down with a map, explaining how to get around everywhere and the best places to see. My trip would not be nearly as good as it was without their advise and hospitality.

Had a terrible experience in this hotel: had a terrible argument with the recepcionist who treated me with sarcasm due to a cancellation. He did not want to check my reservation sheet!! This reservation was made in HOSTELWORLD. Then I had to ask to post my review in the website!! Normally, an e-mail is received asking to do it. This time, I had to ask for it!! I'm sure the hotel manager asked not to send it to me. When I could post it, I found 3 weeks later that the review was erased from the website!! I'm still waiting to see if they will post back. Besides, this hotel is too far from the city centre.I walked more than 20min to the metro station!Even at 9pm the way to the hotel was empty.Not very safe for a woman walking alone.Missed a nice dinner in Trastevere! There are more hotels in the city centre that offer nicer hospitality and you don't need to take public transport, miss a dinner, feel unsafe at 9pm...I would never stay again here.
