Considering the hotel's location is just a short walk from either Battistini or Cornelia metro stations, many of Rome's historical and cultural landmarks are within easy reach (metro line A links the hotel directly with the Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, Spanish Steps and Via Veneto). Guests in search of a quieter location away from Rome's downtown bustle will not be disappointed, all the more so in summer when the Giotto invites all guests to its beautiful rooftop bar and terrace where drinks can be enjoyed. The hotel's comfortable guestrooms are well presented and include facilities such as air conditioning, phone, TV, minibar and bathroom with hairdryer.
Guests should note that local city tax is not included in the rate booked. This will be charged directly to guests by the hotel and payable at check in/out.

  • We did everything by bus and train, which was completely accessible and near the hotel. It was so nice because the hotel's location was away from all the tourists - it was more "neighborhood" friendly - and if I were staying in Manhattan, I'd rather stay in the West Village than Times Square, which was a similar experience here. Giotto was located near better, more authentic restaurants (rather than the Hard Rock Rome), was in a quite neighborhood near a school, had a wonderful grocery store within walking distance and a nice, higher end gastronomia (for NYKERS a delicatessen) even closer. I didn't mind because, again, everything in NYC (apartments, hotel rooms, space on the subways) except buildings and population is probably smaller than most places due to space.. Read review

  • Very pleasant member of staff organised a taxi for us to travel the short distance to Giotto. Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable room, beautiful bathroom facilities, good breakfast, very helpful staff. Lovely area, but beware - if you're going to be there on a Sunday, buy extra metro tickets as very few tabachi open on a Sunday!. Read review

  • I advise any travellers to go to Battistini train station rather than Cornelia station ,as it is an easier walk and not continuously up hill and takes around 10-15 minutes walk. Upon arrival we were informed that there were no twin rooms available so for our first night we would stay in singles. However, we were advised by our travel operator that Hotel Giotto allocates rooms upon arrival so we were not surprised. The next day the man at reception advised that our luggage would be moved to a twin room that day which it was upon our return. The hotel is clean and tidy and they have a luggage room if your flight is not until later in the day. Hotel Giotto is an affordable and excellent base to explore Rome, if you don't mind using the local Metro-net to get into the centre everyday, but at 11 euros for a 3 day travel pass who does..
