The family that run this hotel go out of their way to make it a home from home. They are unfailingly helpful, informative and friendly. The hotel is in a quiet street but only 5 - 8 minutes walk to all the sites and either metro line. It is cleaned and maintained to a very high level.
Lovely, quiet, clean, safe--everything we needed for our first visit to Rome. We had a deluxe room and so we weren't as cramped as I expected.
The staff went the extra mile to help with phone and internet issues!
What a wonderful welcome to Rome! The proprietess greeted us warmly and directed us to a fabulous restaurant. We had been traveling for 30 something hours to get to Rome and our luggage was nowhere to be found. We were exhausted and disoriented. The Signora's tremendous hospitality was a welcome relief; she did everything in her power to alleviate our suffering and to accommodate our special requests. Breakfast was a very solid Italian breakfast with delicious coffee. When we didn't think that the service could get any better, the Signora attempted to sneak us a bottle of wine for the train ride to Tuscany when she learned that we were on our honeymoon. Our stay was very short, but we would recommend this modest hotel in the strongest possible terms.
We traveled to Italy from Bombay, India and our overall hotel experience was the best in Italy. The hotel is family run and the quality of customer service is outstanding. The staff and hotel owners were extremely friendly and went out of the way to help us enjoy our trip. The breakfast was very good, the rooms were like new and I believe they renovate them every year. The bathrooms were excellent also. The location of the hotel is almost perfect located close to the Santa Maria Maggiore church and 10 minute walk from the main Rome station - Termini. The hotel is within walk able distance to the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps.
