we went for holidaying with four other friends.we are extremely grateful to fabricio and mr. mario for being ever helpful to us. since very few people know english, they always gave us the guidance and correct info before we left hotel.whether it was for food or shopping, we always checked with them. we will always cherish in our memory our stay in caracciolo. we look forward to see you both again!

NON-EU CITIZENS keep out...

This review's purpose is not to express my frustration, but to save people like me from sharing my annoying experience. Sorry to say this, but I think their staff are just awful. They made us cancel our reservation even before we arrived by bluntly refusing to send me a visa support letter after a vague and exhausting correpondence in broken English. They wasted my time (I sent them 6 e-mails over 2 days to explain my genuine intentions to stay at their hotel and not just use them for just getting a visa) and made me feel utterly humiliated. I understand they've had bad experiences in the past, but I don't think it gives them the right to suspect everybody (who's not a EU citizen and thus needs a visa support letter) of being a fraud. Honest, they probably are a nice hotel, friendly to all but the non-EU "savages" who are inferior enough to require a Schengen visa.

Great 3 star hotel in a one star area. Close to the train station, about a five minute walk to the nearest subway station (Vitorio), it is in a more ethnic and rustic part of town. The hotel and room (quad) is clean with a nice powerful air conditioner (very important in the summer). Our room has a queen, single, and pull out for the 4th person. The bathroom appeared recently renovated. The only quirky thing is the toilet. It works fine once you figure out how to finesse the flushing mechanism. The complementary breakfast is meagre for a 3 star with no servers and vending machines for coffee and juice (not good). They offer hotel to airport transport for 40 euros flat for anywhere from 1 to 4 people. Book early to get the pickup time you want. I would stay there again if their prices were a bit lower.
