"Whole heartily recommended"Posted: Fri, Nov 27 2009Value:
3We booked our room reluctantly at XX Settembre in Rome, Italy, not knowing what to expect. To our surpise the, the hotel was very clean, it has either been renovated recently, or is brand new, the interior is pristine. The rooms are sparklingly clean and well stocked with all the amenities (nice linens, mini bar, wi-fi internet access). The hotel does not face a main road, but is facing an inner road, hardly ten meters from the main road. The location is quite central, its about a 5-10 minute walk from the main Termini station which connects you to all the sights in rome. There are plenty of good sit down restaurants, take away pizza shops and cafes within a few minutes from it. Continental breakfast was included in our room charges.
Something to be aware of, when we checked in, we were intialilly given a small room with very low ceilings (no more than 6 feet tall!!), but after I talked to the manager at the reception they were extremely accomodating and promptly gave us a much better room with 10 feet ceilings. Something to keep in mind when you are checking in.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel without any reservations.
