We went on a Globus/Monograms tour and they booked us in this hotel. This is the second time I've stayed in it and I still liked it. The location for us was excellent - within walking distance of all the major sites. Three blocks from a Metro station. Lots of great restaurants, both cheap and expensive, within short range along with cheap grocery stores and great gelato. The rooms themselves, though a bit small (but standard for Europe) were very nice. They have remodeled since our last visit two years ago and I thought nicely updated. We really liked our visit here, same as before. The breakfast was very good too, with very good staff that were right on top of everything. If the staff is not overly friendly, that is Italy - Italians don't go overboard to be friendly and polite, but this hotel, especially for Italy, was very responsive to any problems or questions we had. I would definitely go back. Very nice for Americans travelling too as all staff speak English.

Spent two nights this week with my teenaged daughter. The room was OK - small, not fancy. Didn't feel like a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Staff was rude and unfriendly, not attentive to our needs, would not supply an adaptor, did not send promised technician to repair hair dryer. But the location was good - easy walk to the Vatican, shopping, good restaurants and gelato. Good Chinese food around the corner. Rome is HOT in the summer!! After being in London and Paris, we were happy with the cheaper prices in Rome.
