My Bofriend & I stayed in the Domus Inn in May 2008. This was a lovely hotel with cosy rooms& breakfast served to the room every morning. There was no other facilities in this hotel....but you don't go to Rome to stay in your hotel room. Will definitely be back.

Not for the claustrophobic

After stays at great hotels in other Italian cities we were looking forward to Rome and the Domus - chosen principally for its advertised 'central position' - important for us as we were only there for 2 nights. We found ourselves in an almost deserted street far away from any of the places of interest or any life. We had to walk up and down the road a number of times unable to locate the hotel until eventually a passing local pointed out the plaque on the side of the door. We were unaware that the hotel was on the fourth floor (this was not mentioned in the details) and having struggled with the entry phone were confronted with an ancient lift shaft. As two women didn't fancy trying to make our way back there late at night let alone getting access . We chose not to stay so can't comment on the quality of the hotel. May be fine if you know Rome well and don't mind a trek to get to the centre but definitely not what we were expecting. We ended up somewhere much more inviting and accessible for quite a lot less money.

Don't be fooled by the entrance located in an average apartment building. On the fourth floor is a newly and tastefully renovated inn. Our double room was spacious, bright and clean. Breakfast is served directly in the room as there is no separate facility. The service overall was truly excellent. My only gripe was the quality of the breakfast: my cappuccino was mediocre at best. A great buy for the money and good location (near a Rinascente department store!).
