This hotel was really nice. It was exceptionally well kept and very nicely decorated. The room was presented well..................very comfortable beds and proper pillows! Tea and coffee making facilities and a minibar plus flat screen TV (not many English speaking channels though). The bathroom was very clean........towels changed every day. The hotel's cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, cereals, toast, yoghurts, juices. The staff were courteous and very helpful and friendly. The location was good but unfortunately the Metro station outside the hotel was closed due to ongoing repairs. The next nearest one was Vittorio Emanuelle but this wasn't far to walk. We had dinner in two nice restaurants which were recommended by the hotel receptionist Fabio. One of them was just a short walk away and was called 'something Bianco. The translation was The White Horse. The food and service was excellent.
I would definately recommend this hotel.
I STAYED AT MILTON HOTEL DURING MY VACATIONS IN ROME IN 19 MAY 2009. THE HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN, THE STAFF VERY HELPFULL, THE LOCATION IS GREAT (ACROSS THE STREET THERE IS A METRO STATION CALLED MANZONI).BREAKFAST WAS GREAT TOO AND THE PRICE WAS FANTASTIC 320 EUROS FOR 3 NIGHTS.
I SUGGEST THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE BUT THE ONLY DISADVANTAGE IS THE NOISE FROM THE BIG ROAD IN THE SIDE OF THE HOTEL. IF U ASK FOR A ROOM IN THE OTHER SIDE EVERYTHING WOULD BE PERFECT
Overall a good experience Posted: Fri, Jul 18 2008 Overall a decent experience with a slight hitch... We had booked a 3 night stay here about 8 weeks in advance and reconfirmed about 2 weeks in advance.. All was fine. When the two of us showed up we were told there was a computer problem and they did not have a room for us for the night, but they would have one available for the last 2 nights.
After 3 flights and traveling all day from the western US, I was a little frustrated to say the least, BUT they had told me they already had a room for us in a hotel 5-10 minutes away on Via Cavour. They said it was a comparable room and we took it.. They called a cab for us, paid the cab fair, and told us in the morning if we wanted to leave our luggage at this new hotel they would gladly go and pick it up and bring it back to the Milton for us.
We actually brought our luggage back on the metro the next morning around 9 AM and they had a room ready for us within 5 minutes, and asked us for a metro or taxi receipt so they could reimburse us the cost of getting back to the hotel.
Now would they have been this outgoing if we only had a 1 night reservation? Can't tell. But they were very nice, and I genuinely believe them it was an honest mistake, and with the location to the metro I would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice, clean, relatively inexpensive hotel in rome
Felt Like an American Hotel (FINALLY) Posted: Mon, Jul 07 2008

Was a nice clean room. Felt like it was up to American travelling expectations. Modern, clean, newish (everywhere else we stayed was super old which is not common here in the states). The staff were okay, not the friendliest or the least friendly, decent. Loved the location (the metro is across the street! PERFECT for getting around). There aren't a lot of places to eat nearby but the little cafe across the street has some really awesome employees that speak fabulous english, (and one of them makes a killer ham, cheese, and mayo sandwhich).
