Hotel Alessandrino - Rome, Italy

Bei der Ankunft haben wir das Hotel erst mal eine Weile gesucht, weil es doch recht versteckt auf dem Hügel liegt, aber nach diesen Anfangsschwierigkeiten fanden wir seine Lage ganz gut.

Overall the hotel was Ok. There was a few issues we ran into when we arrived. It looked like they were painting so the downstairs smelled of paint etc. However, since our room was not ready they did put us up in another hotel that was next door. That hotel turned out to be very nice. There was a price difference but hotel alessandrino covered that and only had us pay the quoted venere.com price. Our room was ready the next day and the paint smell was completely gone. I ordered a double bed standard but that was not what we had. Instead we had 2 small beds seperate from each other. The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been but was good enough. The phone did not work well at all and had a lot of static when we tried to speak to the front desk. The breakfast was basic with cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee and pastries. Overall the staff was nice and accommodating to us. We had luggage lost by the airline and the hotel tried to help us with that which we did appreciate. The view of the vatican is beaufitul from the top of the hotel so you are in a decent location. Make sure you take note of the street the hotel is on because its very easy to get lost around this area as my wife and I did. I recommend you take a taxi from the airport to the hotel instead of trying to find it yourself. We paid 40 euros for that and it worked out fine. There are several different hotel alessandrino so make sure you tell the cab driver you want Via Clemente Alessandrino 9.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Lage und Preis für Rom wirklich top. Zu finden ist das Hotel etwas schwierig, jedoch fahren Busse fast bis direkt zum Hotel.Einzig das Frühstück war ziemlich ärmlich. Wir haben uns geholfen, indem wir in dem 100m entfernten Tante Emma Laden frische Brötchen und etwas Schinken gekauf haben.

The location of the hotel is definitely convenient according to the price. However the breakfast is quickly boring as nothing changes from one day to another. Furthermore, we once asked for the "english breakfast" and despite the receptionist said it was ok for the next day, they were unable to serve it because they said thay "do not have eggs and ham any more". So this was the major disappointent of the stay. But the people working there were really nice and the rooms very clean and spacious.

A very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful desk personnel. Unfortunately, the same is not true when it comes to breakfast personnel, which did not provide a good service. Also, directions to get to the hotel from San Pietro station should be improved. I hope my comments will be helpful! / Ottimo servizio alla reception, meno buono il servizio durante la colazione (il personale è spesso assente e poco attento alle possibili esigenze dei clienti). Da migliorare, perché un po' fuorvianti, le indicazioni per raggiungere l'hotel dalla stazione di San Pietro. Specificare che esistono 1) Via Monte del Gallo 2) Vicolo di Monte del Gallo 3) Salita di Monte di Gallo 4) Clivio di Monte del Gallo. Saluti!
