A little difficult to find, but a lovely hotel once I did. My room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast consisted of cereals, yogurt, delicious pastries fresh from the bakery, assorted meats and cheeses, pizza bread, fruit, coffee and juice - more than enough to start your busy day in Rome.

We stayed only one night and needed a hotel near the train station. Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations: clean, close to train station, close to good restaurants and a very nice staff.

Location was the largest benefit of the hotel- one block away from a metro station and 5 blocks from the termini rail station. Rooms are dated a bit, but the breakfast room and patio were nice. Hotel staff was very helpful and this was a great value for staying in the inner city of Rome.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Adler for 2 nights in mid-June. We flew in from Madrid, then took the train from the airport to the San Termini station then found it was only about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. We got to the Adler around 11:30ish, the hotel was on the 2nd floor and it was very nice. When you walk in there is the reception desk, with sitting area/tv/etc. There is also a covered patio where breakfast is served and the guest rooms are to the right, and there are only 8 so it is pretty quaint. Our room was not ready yet, but they let us leave our luggage and we set out to eat lunch. Sad, but true, we ate at McDonalds which has a great outdoor seating and people watching. We got our bearings and figured out our plan of action then headed back to the hotel. They have free internet in a little office one floor up....it looks like the front desk of an office or hotel, but it is for guests. They set us up with a password and we took care of contacting home, then our room was ready. They had put our bags in the room for us and finished the check-in process. Our room was the very first one straight ahead. The ceilings were very high and the double doors gave it an elegant look. The room was very nice, the bathroom was nice enough, the shower was a phone-booth, but it served our purposes so no complaints. We were very pleased with the accomodations. Breakfast was included which consisted of the standard fare---yogurt, cereal, etc, etc. We chose to head out on foot to most of the sights and all seemed to be within a 20 minute walk. We walked to the Forum and Palantine Hill (where you can buy tickets for the Colosseum without the line!). Another tip: you can buy metro tickets (e.g. if you go to the Vatican) at Tabachi stores or news stands. Basically the hotel is a central stopping point and the main sights such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum/Forum all branch out from there. Overall, the hotel is in a perfect spot, near great restaurants (I recommend Target right around the corner), near great sights, and have a great staff No complaints and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
