We kicked off our Europe trip in Rome and had a great time staying at the Kennedy Hotel!
Staff was friendly, room was nice - furniture was not new but very sufficient.
Location was excellent! Very close to major train terminal and so many great restaurants to walk to for dinner!
Great town, great hotel!

Rome was supposed to be glorious end to our fantastic italian holiday . Seven days in Sorrento in a plush 5* and then three in Rome to see the sights.
The Kennedy is perfectly situated right next door the Roma termini however the italian taxi drivers must have seen us coming a mile away as we sat into a taxi for ?16 of a trip round the block. Please ask around for details before doing what we did , the italians see suckers coming a mile away.
Breakfast inthe hotel is desperate , diluted orange disguises itself as fresh, you get a nice selection of dry cereals and if that dont satisfy enough there is twelve different jams to choose from, the cost of staying there is not value for money .
During our stay the air con was on the blink however it seemed to work perfectly at reception, when we complained we were fobbed off with "we have men working on it now" at twelve in the night?
Rooms are basic no fridge ,our shower flooded the bathroom out as the shower head was positioned wrong and when we left , checking out time was eleven o clock but the cleaning maid banged on the door at 10.
I like to do a little test when i stay away from home , i leave small change in a drawer to see if its there when i get back from my rambles and low and behold it was gone .There is no safes in the room but you can rent a saftey deposit box out for a fiver .
Furniture in the rooms are only fit for the bonfire, outdated chipped 70s rubbish, the beds are uncomfortable and my pillows smelled as if someone had gotten sick on them, the bedspread which seemed to be remnants from the curtains had a cigarette burn in them.
All hotrels around this area seem in shabby shape , and stars and standards mean nothing.
Rome used to the capital of the world now it seems the cesspool of it, rubbish litters the streets and you are immediatly assailed by the smell of urine from evry street you walk down.
This is not an over the top rant ,please choose your hotels more carefully.
