Stayed with the wife on the romance package picked up from hotel by there limo - very nice, upgraded to room with private terrace room number 415 nice size, champagne strawberrys and chocolate in room also had a car for three hours so went on sight seeing trip Ostia port which was fantastic ! Also had a meal in hotel which was very good - down sides ? Well the decor is bit different downstairs either love or hate it. Resturant staff bit pretentious drinks and mini bar expensive, overall though very good may be different if we had a standard room, paid about £1000 for three nights which was fair for location service and room. The spa was shut when we were there so went to there sister hotel over the road spa small bit tatty not worth the money really.

We got a upgraded room (but I think, they have no other commodations). It was a petty, that the roof garden was renovated. The wellness area should be restored, because it was not the quality of a 5 star hotel.

Some little things off in the room -- peeling paint near a ceiling, an area rotted with water. Very small, but don't let the rooms get run down for this price. Even by the standards of an expensive hotel in Rome, the cost of meals -- breakfast especially -- seemed ridiculous: 22E for breakfast? Maybe that's why the lobby area was **always** empty, to the point that it was a bit depressing, like a posh new club with hot music blaring that's completely empty. Btw, the music got a bit much: Eurotrend electro beats aren't exactly what one wants in the morning. Still, it's a beautiful hotel and I'm very glad we stayed there.

Horrible experience. It was our last night in Italy and we wished to psend our last night relaxing in a nice luxury hotel, drinking wine, unwinding while maybe watching a movie or jumping online to catch up with the world back home. We checked in and immediately found that our TV did not work, the internet access in the room did not work, and later when we decided to go to sleep, our air conditioning did not work. They twice sent maintenance personnel to our room to fix the various issues but never fixed any of them. Despite this total lack of working amenities, they only offered us a free breakfast as compensation. In the end we demanded a reduced rate and got only 25% off. We expected at least 50% considering we essentially were provided with nothing more than a bed and a shower. We could have gotten that at a youth hostel for 25 euro, instead we paid several hundred dollars to be treated like dirt.
