"Loved the Hotel and City"

We stayed at this hotel for five nights in March 2007. The hotel was what we expected. We knew it would be far from the center, but knew they offered a shuttle service to the Piazza Venezia and Vatican. We used this service everyday and had no problems. The hotel was clean and the service was great. They have two shops in the lobby, which had good prices on souvenirs. We purchased the hotel taxi service from the airport to the hotel and then back to the airport for our departure. The service was great - hassle free and got to the airport on time. We bought the daily hotel breakfast upon arrival and were able to get a better price. Breakfast is good. Lunch and dinner at the restaurant is a bit expensive and the servings are small for what you pay, in my opinion. Use the shuttle service - if you dont, you’ll be paying too much for a cab - use the earliest departure 0800hrs and return at 0930hrs. You’ll have enough time to see the sights, shop, etc. Definitely would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

I can say nothing but very good things about this hotel. The hospitality was one of the best while we were in Italy in May 2009. The rooms were very clean and large, large bathroom too. The front desk staff was very friendly, and very helpful in getting soccer tickets for my husband and son. The continental breakfast was wonderful, lots of variety of hot and cold. But remember to book for the breakfast with your hotel reservation, because they keep a list of hotel guests that have paid for the continental breakfast, upon arrival of the restaurant. If your name isn?t on the list you will have to go to the front desk to pay for your meal, which can be an inconvenience. Getting around with the free shuttle bus was excellent too!!! Don?t know if having my husband being Italian and could speak the language, but non-the-less!!! I would definitely stay again, and would recommend to others.

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon visit to Rome in May 2008. I had actually stayed here once before for one night waiting on a cruise in 2006. The staff arranged a car to pick us up from Leonardo DaVinci airport, the price was reasonable and driver was friendly and recommended a nice restaurant at the top of the Spanish Steps (Ciampinis). The hotel is very new with a friendly and helpful staff that speaks English well. The rooms are comfortable with nice bathrooms. When we were there in early May the pool was closed so we didn't get to try that. There is an onsite restaurant, but we did not use that either. The problem with this hotel is the location, the hotel is located about a 20 to 30 minute shuttle ride from the Vatican City area. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle, which when I was there the first time had two drop off points (the Vatican area, and Piazza Barberini). The last time it was only the Vatican area, which fortunately is right by a subway stop. It makes it difficult having to plan your day around the shuttle rides, and the last one back to the hotel leaves at 11 p.m. If you don't mind the shuttle, then this is a nice, comfortable hotel. If you plan on making alot of trips into the city then this might not be the best place for you.
