- A HINT WHEN TRAVELLING FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL; When leaving ciampino airport, there is a desk to your right where you can book a coach from the airport to the main station termini stazione in the centre of rome, the coach company is called Terravision and for just 8 euro's per person the coach will take you to from the airport to the station in rome center which is less than 5 minute walk to the hotel, the coach trip was about 30-50 minutes depending on traffic, but well worth getting the coach as taxi's are triple this price. Where the coach drops you off you can purchase a coach ticket for your journey back to the airport also 8 euro's the coach will pick you up just up the road opposite the royal hotel, although the ticket office isnt signposted, so it may be worthwhile booking a return ticket at the airport 16 euro's p/p. The coach will drop you off at the station from there walk through the station straight ahead to the exit, cross the road turn left then its the 2nd turning on your rightto the hotel. The lady was very polite and very helpful, she gave us our room keys, one good thing they do is provie you with a very handy map, and she then circled places of interest and tips on how to get to them, which we found very useful. There is a very old fashioned lift although it looked scary it did work and was suprisingly quiet, you have to hold the button until the lift is at your floor open the door close the shutters and hold your floor button, reliable lift although doesnt look it! Our room was basic, tele, minibar, shower etc.. Read review

2The room appeared clean but we found several stray dark hairs on the bed and in the shower. The location wasn't great either - the distances given were that it was about 800 m away from major sights including the colosseum - it was more like 1. After telling the receoption staff about this twice, it......

The hotel is very convenient to the metro, which is a two minute walk from the hotel front if you turn right and take an immediate left and cut through the neighboring piazza. I am not sure if it is different......

3A good surprise when we arrived was that the room and bathroom were bigger that in any other 3 star we have stayed in Italy. The room was facing the street and there is no double glaze window so there was a tolerable street noise that did not prevent us from sleeping soundly. The room was clean, only......
