Just got back from a long weekend in Rome staying at the Hotel Pyramid. Took us 4 hours to eventually find the hotel with not much help from the young girls on reception when we called them for directions (I no that we should have done more planning but didn't think it would be that hard to find!!!)Anyway we eventually got there in 1 piece to a friendly welcome from young ladies on reception there english was much better in person. We got to our room to find it was pretty basic but is what we were expecting so weren't too disappointed. If you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful and a bit out of the way from Central Rome this Hotel is fine. We didn't really no what to expect with it being our first time Rome but just a little warning for you if you are not a heavy sleeper beware there walls are very thin and can get a little noisey which didn't bother us too much after a good 10 hours sight seeing, getting to sleep was not much of a problem. Breakfast was pretty basic bread rolls, croissants, coffee and juice but again it was ok we weren't expecting the full works! Our room was cleaned well with clean bed sheets each day and fresh towels (might be an idea to bring one of your own as they were quite thin) but we were happy with the service provided. In the evenings you will find a man on reception who I think was the owner but a very lovely man who was always happy to see you and gave us very helpful information. This hotel is not far from Metro stations so although it's not in the centre it's not a problem getting there and we enjoyed the little journeys there anyway. So all in all I probably wouldn't stay here again as there are so many hotels to try out but if you are going to stay here then if you go not expecting too much you will be happy.

stayed here for 2 nights and thought it was a bit out in the sticks although close to a tube station, the hotel was clean but at night it was very noisy due to the water pipes knocking and creaking all night long ,also we had some very noisy italians staying in the next 2 rooms and they were also very loud till around 3am. managed to find a nice restaurant round the corner which was very nice and very cheap compared to the rest of romes very inflated prices,a meal for 2 with drinks and desert costs us less than 35 euros..overall we would not stay here again and would look to find a hotel a bit closer to the centre of town..also the breakfast consisted of a brown roll and coffee from a machine so not good.
