Shambles of epic proportionsPosted: Sun, Oct 08 2006How anyone (unless they live in a hole) could even deem this a hotel I have no idea. A general overview first. Staff where very unhelpful, location is terrible, rooms are tiny and badly laid out.
We had to stay one night here before our travel agent found us another hotel, it was a long night. We dropped our bags off at the room which promted me immediatly to return to the front desk and ask for a nicer room. The suprise on the guys face was amazing - apparently we had the nicest room! In fact we had a prison cell with a large bed in it. In fact I don't even think the bed was large it was an optical illussion given the size of the room and bathroom. The room was indeed a very strange shape, it seemed to have 1/3 missing it wasn't until our next door neighbour decided to take his 4 a.m. toilet run that I realised that the 1/3 missing was the toilet from next doors room jutting into ours! It's quite distressing to hear another persons toilet habits echoing around your room at 4 a.m. Last straw...
We checked out rapidly, they seemed very upset with us and very unhelpful in our plight to escape the madness.
We spent an additional £ 400 for 2 more nights in another centrally located 4 star hotel in Rome, but I would have gladly paid £ 4,000 to escape the Brasile Hotel.
