"Great stay at the Edera"

Just back from Rome and a fantastic stay at the Edera. Nicely situated in a quiet area, a stones throw from the Colloseum after a pleasant stroll through the Domus Aurea - Nero's Golden Palace. Our room was absolutely beautiful with a fridge, air conditioning and a TV. The decor was very pleasing. The triple room was very large with a high ornate ceiling. The beds were comfortable and clean as was the room itself. The bathroom was superb. It was fully tiled, clean and large. There was a wide choice of good food at breakfast, more than I could eat. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel as great value for money. Party of three from Ireland.

When we arrived at Edera we were told that we were being sent to another hotel in the same group. It was located in the same area of the city slightly closer to the centre. The Edera paid for our taxi and for the upgrade as this was a nicer hotel (Hotel Viminale). Well done Leonardi Hotels! We had a terrific stay. Everything was class!

Very nice hotel in good location near Coleseum at moderate price. Nice quiet neighborhood with some restaurants and cafes. We stayed 2 nights sepatrated by 2 weeks. Our only complaint was the 2nd room's bath smelled badly of mildew.

There being no in-room safe, we had to leave our valuables at the front desk. What we were not told about was that they charged per day for this service. The location is acceptable - the centre of Rome is expensive, but here we were a short walk through a park to the Colosseum and the Forum, and a short walk up to a main road with lots of restuarants. Not an ideal location, but could be worse. The hotel was a bit run down, but everything worked, even if old and slightly falling apart. And it was quite quiet. I would however try and find somewhere else for my next stay in Rome - a little more central, and a place that either had inroom safes or was upfront about the charges. The bed was two twins pushed together.
