3.4There being no in-room safe, we had to leave our valuables at the front desk. What we were not told about was that they charged per day for this service. The location is acceptable - the centre of Rome is expensive, but here we were a short walk through a park to the Colosseum and the Forum, and a short walk up to a main road with lots of restuarants. Not an ideal location, but could be worse. The hotel was a bit run down, but everything worked, even if old and slightly falling apart. And it was quite quiet. I would however try and find somewhere else for my next stay in Rome - a little more central, and a place that either had inroom safes or was upfront about the charges. The bed was two twins pushed together.
