We stayed three nights in the Accademia Hotel in early May 2007. The hotel was exactly 100 steps from the Trevi Fountain and in a perfect loctaion.
The hotel was easy to find, being so close to the Trevi Fountain and in a great location for restaurants and shops.
The hotel room was small but the bathroom had been recently renovated and was fantastic. The hotel breakfast was also fantastic.
The staff were helpful and the hotel was a little on the expensive side, but excellent value for its location. I would definately return to this hotel.
Location is excellent - in the middle of "everything", i.e. Fontana di Trevi around the corner, Spanish steps, Via Condotti-area and Piazza Navona withing walking distance. - Breakfast surprisingly good for a 3star-hotel.
Hotel is fine, and so is the service. Breakfast was okay for Italian standards. The only thing that I didn't like (but most people do), is the location, at 100 metres from Trevi, which means that enormous amounts of people are marching by all day, and that on a terrace you pay 5 euros for a cappuccino. I find the Tritone area rather dull, and would prefer somewhere at the other side of the Corso. But like I said, with the hotel there is nothing wrong (although I think I had a luxury room), which might make a difference.
The location of the hotel is perfect, just a few steps to the fontana di trevi. No problem to find a place to eat and walking distance to all sights.
Our room (double) was in the "superior wing" and had a good size, the bathroom was spacious. The room looked new. The only thing one could say is that the room was on the first floor already looking into a quite narrow street, so it was dark during the day, but since we've been out sightseeing we didn't mind at all. We still had a view to a little "place (street)", where other rooms look at.
Breakfast was good for italian standard - you got different kinds of bread and fresh pastry, cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, salami etc - so you can really call it a breakfast "buffet" (for italian standard but still. I think we paid € 130,- for two per night, which was worth it. We would stay again at the Hotel Accademia.
Perfectamente localizado para disfrutar de Roma, motivo para repetir.
A mejorar: A todas horas del día y la noche encontramos el carrito de la limpieza y el aspirador en el pasillo.
Muy recomendable.
