I've never been (in more than 30 years travelling around the world, 15-20 times a year) in a room smaller than this. About the prize... well that was a night very busy in almost all the Rome hotels because the Champions League Final, but to cash 170 euros for this kind of individual room... I'm sorry for the word, but this is a robbery (the hotel did it, not Venere I know it).

The room was extremely small. The bathroom light was out, the bedroom window latch was broken, the phone didn't work, and there was someone on the roof next to my room which made my family very uncomfortable and nervous with the broken window latch.

This hotel was a lovely retreat after a full days of walking through the craziness of rome. We were on the 6th floor, with a lovely view of the "hills of rome." The breakfast was delightful, I fell in love with the tortes! We also ate in the hotel "restaurant" many evenings and fell in love with the man working there. I would definately recommend this hotel again The staff was amazingly helpful, especially after our long transatlantic flight! The only complaint I would have is how thin the walls are! We were left to the mercy of our neighbors watching the football matches as to when we could finally get some rest.

I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Rome. The staff was very friendly and helpful and English was easily understood. A subway stop (Cipro) was about four short blocks away and the buses ran on the main street about 100 feet from the hotel door. The Vatican Museum is about 200 yards from the hotel and makes an easy point to find when you are trying to return to the hotel. The included breakfast was a very big plus. There are grocery stores in very close proximity to the hotel. Small eateries and stands populate the neighborhood. We often returned to the hotel in the late evening and felt secure in the area. The room had a small refrigerator. The hotel also povides an Iternet connection which we gladly used to keep in touch with family back in the States. There is a sign on the main street that points the way to the hotel, but the hotel can be easily overlooked when searching for it for the first time.
