"Clean, Convenient, and what a view"Posted: Mon, Nov 23 2009Value:
3We spent a week in Rome at the Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo and thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is a moderate size hotel (150 or so rooms) located 1 block from the Teremini metro station, the main bus station and the main rail station in Rome. The area wasn't elegant, but we found it completely safe and very convenient for getting around Rome. Walk down the Via Cavour and you are at the Roman forum in about 15 minutes.
The area has restaurants, pizzarias, a bakery, a small market and the national roman museum is around the corner.
Our room (#816) was extremely clean, large, and had the only balcony in the hotel. Maid service was great. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. When we needed a wake-up call, it was on time.
The hotel provided a large breakfast room with a good selection of items. Coffee, juice, salami, ham, eggs, cornflakes, toast, yogurt, etc. were available each day with prompt and friendly service from a large staff.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I would rank it as a 3 star hotel.
