  • 00am we received a complementary upgrade to an Imperial Room. We were led to our room immediately, and happily discovered that it was very large, superbly furnished and with a very beautiful view of Piazza de la Republica and a grand all-marble bathroom. Considering we had booked a Superior room for only 350 Euro per night including breakfast, we thought what we got was well worth the money. The hotel is also very well staffed, with friendly and professional personnel. Housekeeping also does a very good job, and our room and all public areas were super clean. The hotel's restaurant 'Vivendo' was very good (Try the Lobster! We also got a great restaurant recommendation from the hotel's concierge: the Al Moro, near the Trevi fountain. Piazza de la Republica is busy with traffic all the time, but the rooms are double glazed and with heavy curtains, so we had no noise problems.. Read review

  • Everything was organized flawlessly and it was one of the most memorable NYE hotel-parties we've experienced to date (previously having celebrated at Hotel de Crillon & Ocean Club to name very few) but we were most impressed with the service and how staff made us feel as if we were the only, and the most important, guests of the hotel that week. Attentive service, old world atmosphere and the ever-present feeling that no one else but us matters prevailed. For both visits we had the same Imperial Guest room, which is rather spacious and has such comfortable beds that you'll definitely have a hard time rolling out of it in the morning. If you plan on splurging on at least one restaurant while in Rome, make sure it's Le Grand's own Vivendo, which is known for its food (#1 restaurant in Rome) AND its contemporary decor, which takes you into another world as soon as you walk in from a completely different (in a good way) feel of the hotel..
