Grand Hotel Del Gianicolo - Rome, Italy

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Bedroom and bathroom were a bit on the smaller side but very clean and nicely decorated. Note to all travelers: TAKE EARPLUGS! The walls were extremely thin, to the point where you could hear every move your neighbors made in their rooms (yes, I mean EVERY move...). Also, the hotel is located on a rather busy street and automobile noises could be easily heard until late into the night. There were not too many nice restaurants within walking distance, so you may want to plan accordingly with meals. However, a short (10 minute) walk on a busy street with no sidewalks will get you to a fabulous restaurant called Scarpone. We highly recommend this restaurant. There is a bus stop a short walk from the hotel which will get you anywhere you need to go in Rome. All in all, this hotel was wonderful - great breakfast, very helpful front desk staff, clean, and upscale. It is also set a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and so it was refreshing to escape back to the hotel after a long day of busy tourist spots. Enjoy!

this hotel was perfect for our stay...marco and daniel at the front desk were very pleasant and were willing to help at all times...tante baci to them for all their help.. the romms were a little small, but were good for the time we spent in them... the pool was beautiful...we have stayed in rome before at other hotels, but this one was the best by far.....when we go to rome we will only stay in this hotel from now on.....it was only 10 euro to the center of the city.after a full day of that it was a pleasure to come back to a little peice of paradise.....there were several restaurants in the area that were also very good too....

Ich reiste mit meiner Tochter und mit meinem Lebenspartner. Das Hotel liegt einfach in einer tollen Gegend. Wir sind viel gelaufen, hätten es aber nicht gemusst, da verschiedene Bushaltestellen in der Nähe des Hotels liegen und somit die Innenstadt Roms sehr gut zu erreichen ist. Aber dann hätten wir uns an der tollen Aussicht auf Rom, die wir beim Durchqueren des Parks Gianicolo hatten, nicht erfreuen können. Zu Fuss erreichen Sie Trastevere in gut 10 Min., den Vatikan in 35 Min. Der Service im Hotel war sehr gut und die Mitarbeiter/innen immer hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren für uns vollkommen ausreichend und sehr sauber. Es wurde jeden Tag gereinigt, die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher gewechselt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war hervorragend und auf eine kurze Bitte hin, haben wir auch unseren Cappucino erhalten. Im übrigen sehr gut. Kurzum das Hotel ist klasse und dient auch noch zum Erholen nach den langen Besichtigungstouren. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

Gianicolo was PERFECT!!! Great service,beautiful touristic areas walking distance, gorgeous garden with incredible summer pool, gourmet breakfast and very helpful friendly staff....definitely a come back!!!!

The neighbors were very loud in the night; we had a rather clairaudient room. Not enough space for two bedside tables.
