The Duke Hotel - Rome, Italy     

We stayed 3 nights at the Duke and found it ideal for the needs of a family of 4 looking for a fairly high standard of comfort. We had an attractive and spacious room with a large balcony, with room for table and chairs - could easily have enjoyed a room service meal on it if we'd been so inclined. There was a large sofa bed for the children. The hotel's location, situated beyond the gardens of the Villa Borghese, was just a minor inconvenience. A regular complimentary shuttle bus will take you to and from a drop-off point within easy walking distance of the Spanish steps. The hotel restaurant is very pleasant for breakfast. We had dinner their one evening and were fed very well indeed but it is better to get out and about. The front desk were extremely helpful in giving us restaurant recommendations and reservations. We thoroughly enjoyed the places they recommended.
