While Bettoja Atlantico has some pluses it definitely does not deserve or come close to a 4 star rating, even by European standards. The rooms are clean and large, but nothing about this property is luxurious. Moreover, while the front desk staff (there is no concierge) will answer your questions, they offer little more. One exception was the night manager, who was very friendly and helpful. The Bettoja Atlantico is connected to another Bettoja hotel via a stairway, which is where breakfast is served and the dining room and roof top lounge are housed. Lastly, the buffet at a Comfort Inn in the U.S. is better than this full, European buffet breakfast. On the plus side, the hotel is well located given its 2 block walk to the Termini station, a large bus depot and 5 mile walk to the Coliseum. The neighborhood is safe, which makes you comfortable walking either day or night, and offers a few shops and restaurants. If you want a true 4 star hotel, definitely look elsewhere. I stayed at 2 different 4 star hotels in Germany last March and they were far, far superior to the Bettoja Atlantico. In summary, it was a good experience, but I would never stay there again nor recommend it to anyone I know, especially if they want a 4 star hotel experience.
Close proximity to the train station and large bus depot. Larger than average rooms that were very clean.
There is nothing luxurious about this hotel. It is old and rather out dated, with no services on site.

If you are looking for a nice hotel to stay at and also at a great location near Termini Station - then Hotel Bettoja Atlantico is the place to stay. I must admit when our travel agent suggested this hotel I was a little skeptical and started checking Trip Advisor for any reviews. Trip Advisor is a good guideline for information and reviews but everyone has different standards and only you can make your own decision. As soon as you walk through their doors you are greeted with a big smile and “Buongiorno!” They served a complimentary breakfast and also have a roof top terrace in the adjoining hotel Mediterrano.
Our room was very clean and was perfect for our 9-night stay.
The front desk is so very helpful. For us, they arranged transfers to & from the airport, they helped in planning tours, suggested great restaurants to eat and even called ahead for us, helped us daily on taking their buses and train systems to various sights. Alberto, Gianluca, Monica, Roberto, Giovanni, Stefano and the entire staff were very helpful and made our stay wonderful and most memorable.
We would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!
Thank you all for your kindness and all your help.

During our recent trip to Italy, we used Rome as a stop-over between tours. During our first and second stops in Rome, we stayed at the Atlantico and were very satisfied. We were a party of three, so we had a nice-sized triple room. It was room with two double beds and they included a single "roll-away" type bed. The desk agent was waiting for us when we arrived each time. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was excellent, being close to Termini, which is where the two Rome metro lines intersect. The staff was very helpful and friendly, making dinner reservations for us, etc. They also allowed us to keep a few pieces of luggage at the hotel between stops so we would not have to pack everything with us the whole time. While Atlantico is not what I would consider a "destination" type hotel, we had not planned on and did not spend a lot of time there. We were in Rome and tried to take as much of it in as possible. Atlantico and her staff were there when we needed them and we had a delightful stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Their website is also helpful and includes some suggested Itineraries. On the whole, we were very satisfied with our stay.
