Liliumhotel address: Via Venti Settembre 58A, Rome, 50250

Liliumhotel details: In the National Geographic Traveler magazine, Apr. 2003 issue, on page 59, you can read: The owner of Lilium, Annibale Batosi, is an abstract painter with exuberant and secure eye for interior decor. Opened in Sep. 2002 the hotel occupied one floor of a 1924 building on a busy street. Australian songbirds welcome you to the lobby, and serene blue hallways lead to high ceiling rooms with painted armoires and color-coordinated with the sheets. Everything in the sunny place is nicely up-to-date; firm mattresses, air conditioning in every room, well-conceived bathrooms. Check in and you will be among the first to stay at a hotel that's earning a serious following. Best rooms: Superior rooms are particulary quiet and have plant-filled terraces.

The Liliumhotel is an exclusive small Hotel located in an antique building in the north-east side of city center, only a few minutes away from Via Veneto. It offers a very relaxing atmosphere and the young staff welcome the guests with plenty of care. Every room is smartly furnished, ornamented with a flowers design and painted in a different colour. This simple but fine design, gives a unique charm that makes a difference providing a warm mediterranean atmosphere.

The hotel offers a spacious hall, more than 4-metre-high ceiling, small wrought iron balconies around the windows in half circle, and large Liberty period windows. Main colour are light purple and turquoise typical of the Liberty period which create an entirely new style contrasting with the more traditional hotel stereotype.
The breakfast room has water green and soft pink colours, inspired by Preraphaelesque aesthetics. It is furnished with an impressive and splendid brass coffee machine designed according to the original one built in Brasil at the beginning of the 20th century.

We are open all year and there is a 24/7 porter service.
At the check out you can leave your luggage at the Hotel for the day.
Close to the hotel there's a 24 hours garage that makes a pick up service of your car and bring it back to you at your request.

My boyfriend and I stayed at hotel lilium for 4 nights in november. It was a pleasure. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom very modern and spotless, and the decor quite pleasing to the eye. The hotel itself is a perfect place for a young couple wanting to discover Rome. it is beautiful. We had a celebration but the hotel did not sell wine late at night so the concierge gave us his own bottle at no charge. Thats called good service. Highly recommended.

A wonderful hotel, very nice and helpful staff. We had a room with a terrace, which added a significant dimension to the place. Rooms are clean, perhaps a bit small, but larger than I have had in London. The hotel even offers laptop loaners, which came in handy as we hunted for Halal restaurants. Not sure why some reviewers have said the location is "off the beaten track" or a bit far from stuff, because the Lilium's location is perfect. Easily walkable to either Termini station (with bags) or the Repubblica station. One day we WALKED from the hotel to the Spanish Steps and on down to Trevi and the Coliseum. Right around the hotel you can stumble on great food everywhere. I take away one star from the overall because of one bizarre episode the morning of our departure. I left my bags in the lobby and ate a quick breakfast in the breakfast room adjoining the lobby. This was just after 7AM. After breakfast I find that my camera was taken from where it was laid on top of my bags. Nobody came thru the lobby that morning, mind you the hotel is behind a locked street door and 3 flights up. There is just NO foottraffic anywhere close. Only the croissant delivery guy came thru that morning, at exactly those minutes I was in the breakfast room. Clearly he boosted my camera. However the hotel staff refused to entertain that possibility. I was stupid to leave my stuff unattended perhaps. But you have to see this hotel to understand how secure I felt doing so. Ultimately I was not pleased with the lack of zeal on the part of the front desk staff to investigate. They just flat out said it was "impossible" that the bread dude took my camera. I would recommend this excellent hotel, but just take care as if you are staying at the Hilton in Tenderloin - er - that is, Union Square, SF.
