5For the price they charged it is a good hotel, but they could do much better if they improved their service. They refused to open the terrace with the remark, never before 10 am. At check out they tried to charge me for roomservice I didn?t had, then changed it to second breakfast, because I left the breakfast room and came back a couple of minutes later with my wife. I refused, had to sign a slip of paper and they let it go. Apart from this unpleasantness I recommend this hotel, because it is a bargain and the rooms are good.
If you arrive at Ciampino airport you can save a good deal if you use public transport. At the airport we bought a oneday ticket (4 Euro) for all public transport and an additional ticket (1,20Euro)for the bus from the airport to Anagnina subway station. There you validate the oneday ticket and take the tube to Termini station and take the express bus # 90 to Piazza Sempione a twenty minute ride. The bus starts at Termini and you will find a seat. From Piazza Sermione it is 2 minutes walk to the hotel. We bought a Romecard for 20 Euro from the touristinformation at Termini and could use the card for 3 more days of public transport and two museums.
As mentioned by other reviews, opportunities for restaurants in the vincinity of the hotel are limited. One is just across the mainstreet, you can?t miss it and the other a few hundred yards
from the hotel. Both are not bad, but nothing special either.
