Great Hotel with Great Location!Posted: Mon, Jan 08 2007I arrived at 8.55am and had a complimentary early check-in. Stayed in a Deluxe Room facing the American Embassy. The room is not as big as I thought but had a rather big bathroom. The taxi fares are between Euro 60-70 from the Airport to the Hotel.
The breakfast was included in the room rate and nothing great to shout about. They served ham, 3 choices of hot dishes (mushroom, eggs and tomatoes, 3 selection of cheese, 3 selections of cereals, pastries, yogurts and fruits. Service was not great as what I expected. Asked them to refill the milk for the cereal but the milk never came. There was no butter on the table. Asked but the butter never came too.
The staff of the hotel was magnificent, very friendly and speaks good English.
The location was great! 7 minutes walk to the train station (M). As soon as you get out from the Hotel, turn left to the metro station (Via Veneto). If you turn right, walk further down, you will see all the restaurants, Hard Rock Cafe, Piazza Barbarini is 10 minutes walk , The Spanish Steps, Galleria Borghese are all within walking distance. If you like shopping for branded stuff, you should go to The Spanish Steps, you can see all brands there. Shops closes at 8pm. Try not to eat along Via Veneto as the food are not as nice and it is expensive too. An entrée, main meal and bottle of water can cost Euro37 per person.
My overall stay was good. I will definitely come back to this hotel even though the breakfast was not great!
