Beautiful decor and fabulous bar! Newly refurbished room with plenty of space and beautiful decor. Some of our fellow travellers were not so fortunate as their rooms were not yet refurbished so this may be worth a mention when booking. V helpful and friendly concierge. Great location only 10 mins walk from Spanish Steps but not crowded with tourists. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location near the center of the historical city. The hotel is very confortable, the rooms are large by European standards and the staff very friendly. A great place for business or leisure travellers in Rome

Great end to our honeymoon
Posted: Mon, Feb 19 2007
From the lovely facade to the cushy bar area to the art deco room we stayed in-this hotel was a perfect way to wrap up a trip. We spent the last two nights of our honeymoon here and the manager sent us a bottle of proseco. The conceriege was happy to make dinner reservations for us and even arrange a car to the airport so we could make an early plane. It is nicely located --a good stroll too all the major sites. You got the energy of the city and the Spanish Steps area without the mobs. A real gem with old school elegance.

Great Hotel with Great Location!
Posted: Mon, Jan 08 2007
I arrived at 8.55am and had a complimentary early check-in. Stayed in a Deluxe Room facing the American Embassy. The room is not as big as I thought but had a rather big bathroom. The taxi fares are between Euro 60-70 from the Airport to the Hotel. The breakfast was included in the room rate and nothing great to shout about. They served ham, 3 choices of hot dishes (mushroom, eggs and tomatoes, 3 selection of cheese, 3 selections of cereals, pastries, yogurts and fruits. Service was not great as what I expected. Asked them to refill the milk for the cereal but the milk never came. There was no butter on the table. Asked but the butter never came too. The staff of the hotel was magnificent, very friendly and speaks good English. The location was great! 7 minutes walk to the train station (M). As soon as you get out from the Hotel, turn left to the metro station (Via Veneto). If you turn right, walk further down, you will see all the restaurants, Hard Rock Cafe, Piazza Barbarini is 10 minutes walk , The Spanish Steps, Galleria Borghese are all within walking distance. If you like shopping for branded stuff, you should go to The Spanish Steps, you can see all brands there. Shops closes at 8pm. Try not to eat along Via Veneto as the food are not as nice and it is expensive too. An entrée, main meal and bottle of water can cost Euro37 per person. My overall stay was good. I will definitely come back to this hotel even though the breakfast was not great!
