0.8The room I was in was unbelievably small, even for a European hotel room. The shower was barely big enough for me (I'm 5' 10" 175lbs.). I had to turn it off while soaping up. The shower doors were barely wide enough for me to fit between.
The hotel is so small, it only encompasses part of one floor of the building. So, I could hear everyone in the rooms next to me, especially early in the morning. Also, when I was sleeping, the plumbing in the room next to me was next to my head so I was awoken every time someone used water.
The air conditioning didn't work well at all.
Also, the hotel is at the top of Via Veneto. You find out after you arrive that to get there you have to climb a hill for a long ways. After a day of touring around Rome it is extremely tedious and tiring to get to the hotel.
It isn't close to anything either. It's closest to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain but you won't be spending much time at either. I would suggest you get something closer to the Vatican or Forums.
Also, the woman at the front desk was rude to me upon my check out. I had borrowed a Rick Steves book which someone else had obviously left, and she basically accused me of trying to steal it. I had left the book in the room but she made me go to the room, retrieve the book and show it to her. I've been leaving my guides when I left a city (I traveled to 12 cities this trip) and I don't care if someone takes it after me or not. That's why you leave them.
