Marcella Royal - Rome, Italy

We have just returned from Rome after a six day stay which was totally enhanced by staying at The Marcella Royal. As we always do when travelling, we relied on Tripadvisor for hotel choices. We arrived early and had booked one of the two suites,which was ready.However, it was the wrong suite( I had requested the jacuzzi suite) and we were told to return in an hour. The staff then tracked us down to the roof terrace( no idea how they knew we were there! ) and had moved all our luggage to the requested suite,even re-hanging our coats in the wardrobe. This was a lovely, very spacious room ( 428). All the staff were SO attentive and always smiling-and very helpful with restaurant bookings etc; Can't wait to go back

Not too far from downtown and close from Termini station ( Train is better than taxi to go to fumicino airport). Rooms and prices are OK. A great breakfast included.

Its wonderful location, near to the main attractions and very few minutes from Termini railway station, proved to be the perfect choice to go through Rome walking and enjoying the charmy atmosphere of this ancient town. At Marcella Royal you can be delighted in having breakfast served on the top floor with a breathaking view on San Pietro's dome.

Nice place to stay, although we ( mother and daughter) were offered a very poor room on the first floor at first. After complaining we got a much better room on the upper floor. Lovely view from the terrace.
