Have you stayed here ?
Excellent location for a taste of Rome

We spent a week here. Being on the outskirts but on the 60 bus route and close to Bologna Metro meant that we could get our bearings as we rode into the Centre, but could relax out of the hustle and bustle if we wanted to in the evenings. The bus dropped us at the Vittoria Emanuel monument, Piazza Venezia. Via Nazionale or Coliseum, all close to other well known sites. We were also able to use the bus to start tours out of the City to Ostia Antica and Via Appia Antica. The hotel staff was helpful and polite. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was generally good. One niggle is that there was no facility to make a warm drink in the room at night. I would return.

Not very central but good value, clean rooms with helpful staff. Need to get metro to attractions 500 m from hotel. Not many restaurants near by. Breakfast basic with orange cordial and not juice. Rooms on the front noisy ask for ones at the back.

Santa Costanza (Rome) was good value for money for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage children. Being only 20 minutes by bus to the city centre (Piazza Venezia), its location was better than we expected. Besides, it is surrounded by a few rather decent restaurants, as recommended by the hotel's competent and helpful receptionist. The guest rooms were clean, well equipped and tastefully furnished. It would have been perfect if we could get two adjacent rooms during our 3-night stay. But still, we would definitely recommend our friends to stay at this property should they visit Rome.

Stayed Fri to Sun in Nov, Booked Flights and Hotel as a package with Easy jet. Taxi from Airport(Ciampino) 55Eur Seen all the reviews, and yes the rooms we had were a good size and very clean. Breakfast was ok, what you expect in europe, fruit and cereal options as well as usual bread/crossisant. Only thing i was worried about was the location, but this is not a problem, turn right out of the Hotel 5-10min walk to the Metro. Door to door to the Collosseum 20mins. The vatican (change at Terminal Stn)30mins. We found the Metro very easy to use there are only 2 lines A and B, 11 Eur for 3 day ticket. First time in Rome, what a great city, done all the top sites, highly recommend The Vatican, we booked a tour when we got there in St Peters Sq, with a American student (25Eur +Entrance fee) 30 in group earphones provided. 1 hour Q. Fantastic, even if you have never set foot in a Church before, its worth the Money. The Collosseum Great and Trevi. Once your in the Centre you can walk round most sites. Would recommend going out of season, the crowds must be murder in Spring. Would love to go again. One more thing try and find a restaurant off the main drag. most were about 25 eur per head with a bottle of house. not bad.
