I could not say a bad word about this hotel. We arrived and the receptionist, Alexandria, was absolutely helpful in giving us the jist of Rome as we only had a three night stay. The lobby is great and there are hundreds of CDs to choose from to listen to in your room and there is always music playing in the lobby that is diverse. We got up to our room and that night the A/C wasn't working which was a bummer, but the rest of the trip it was working and my mom and i were almost frozen it got so cold. Anyhow, the rooms couldn't be more comfortable in that the beds are really comfrtable, there is a great fully length room and lots of space for luggage. The absolute BEST thing about the entire room was the bathroom where there is a great bath/shower combo with a disco ball lit by a blue light that creates an awesome ambiance for when you are showering. Additionally music plays in both the bedroom and the bathroom and it plays louder in the bathroom to accomodate the loudness of the water running. The hotel even has a scale but I didn't dare use it as rome was our last stop and i had just spent three weeks eating my way through europe. The hotel is a quick jaunt to the vatican and an even quicker on the the metro where you can catch it to the colleseum or even the trevi fountain or spanish steps. The breakfast is a continental breakfast but it has a really nice terrace that is shaded so even during the summer it is really comfortable. EVERYTHING about this hotel is wonderful and i wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rome. I will definately be back.

Franklin feel the Sound is one of the best hotels (if not the best) I have ever stayed in. Clearly, its drawback is location (pretty far from the metro and most restaurants) but I still cannot recommend it highly enough. First of all, the experience is great. The staff is kind and just plain accommodating. It has a cool vibe, and the people who were staying there with us seem to kind of have their stuff together. It looks like it was built yesterday. It is immaculately clean and modern. Rooms are decked out. Great free slippers to keep and robes to use, free wireless internet, a flat screen TV, and an awesome sound system that even has Bose speakers in the restroom. There is a disco ball (not tacky at all). The bed was incredible, it had a canopy, clean soft sheets, and velvet blankets. Best of all, the bathroom was super clean. The air conditioning works fast… turn it on and you feel the rush of cold air. They have a big CD collection you are free to use and “feel the music” with. Breakfast is free and amazing. Be prepared for multiple great made-to-order cappuccinos and bottled water, fresh croissants/pastries, a juicer, and typical cereals, yogurts, fruits, deli meats/cheeses, etc. We paid $184 USD/night for the room, which was worth every penny. Franklin feel the sound is the place to go if you want a hip, ultra clean and modern hotel, and you don’t mind a pretty decent walk from the metro. Stay at Franklin when you visit Rome!
