Hotel Caravel - Rome, Italy

el hotel caravel es un hotel de 3 estrellas. Hotel basico pero con muy buen servicio. Los trabajadores eran muy amables y las habitaciones eran confortables y limpias. Justo delante del hotel hay una parada de autobus que te deja justo en el centro de roma. El hotel esta situado en la zona financiera de roma.

La struttura ? molto vecchia e necessita di diversi ammodernamenti, soprattutto se pretende di essere un vero 4 stelle. Al banco della reception non c'? mai nessuno, sempre tutti impegnati fuori a fumare. La colazione ? di qualit? bassa.

La struttura è molto vecchia e necessita di diversi ammodernamenti, soprattutto se pretende di essere un vero 4 stelle. Al banco della reception non c'è mai nessuno, sempre tutti impegnati fuori a fumare. La colazione è di qualità bassa.

Just would like to say that i have never stayed in such a dump! The first day we moved rooms twice coz the first room was rotten, there was mold in the fridge, someones toe nail clippings on the balcony, the toilet didnt flush, our view was of a brick wall, need i go on? The lift was dark and dingy! We tried to get some information from reception it was a struggle as they were unwilling to help! It was only the fact that we walked to the collesum station and they explained to us how to use the train and travel about without having to get cabs everywhere! W hen we looked out onto the balcony we realised we were in the middle of a red light district! You have to walk for about 10 - 15 minutes before you reach any shops so if you run of of anything like water you would have a long walk before you reached anything! Everything is closed on a sunday, if you book a taxi through the hotel they charge you extra but if you hail one from the street is cheaper! The TV in the room says it has sky but the only channel that is english speaking is CNN and not everybody wants to watch the news when your holiday! Also England where playing in the world cup but there is nowhere around to watch the match you would have to go into town and try and find somewhere! There was a nest of peigons behind our airconditioning unit on the balcony. The only thing i can say is good in this hotel was the air conditioning! I would love to go back to rome but stay in better accommodation as i would proberly have enjoyed myself more!

Don't expect too much for the price.....

You get what you pay for. Our visit don´t had any complication. Room big enought, very clean, comfortable, with air conditioned, strong box and TV with all countries channels, nothing to see in the window. Old bathroom with bathtub very clean too, just fine, nothing else. The stuff is nice and friendly. They help you to make your visit to Rome more enjoyable. You can buy bus/metro tickets in the hotel. The Caravel is not very well located. Is far for the centre but is well communicated. There are bus stop to centre (20min) and Termini (40min) in front of the hotel, but i don`t recommend it, ROME TRAFFIC IS HORRIBLE. If you walk 20 min from hotel you can take metro to centre (10min). Safe zone to walk, residential but not nice. HORRIBLE breakfast too. There is a restaturant next to hotel, much better but not expensive. As i said, you get what you pay for.
