Enjoyed this B&B for our base of operations on a golf holiday. Rooms we're well kept and the owners were most gracious - even after we had to slip into our window after hours having lost our room key! They were a little confused when we called in the morning asking them to let us out of our room .... The rooms require a key for both entry and exit. That could present a problem in the event of an emergency, but other than that - top notch accommodations!
Go play on Braid Hills and avoid Craigentinney like the PLAGUE!!!

We booked this hotel on the strength of their website which shows a clean, well decorated hotel with a 3 star rating and the rates which seemed reasonable. On arriving we immediately noticed the musty, boiled cabbage smell and on being shown the rooms, the general shabbiness of the place. The rooms were furnished in the style of charity shop cast-offs, the wallpaper was from the 1940's, everything, including the bed linen was old and worn-out looking. We beat a hasty retreat to the reception area and spent an hour negotiating with the receptionist (a charming woman) and the owner on the phone over what they wanted in payment for us NOT staying there. We were booked for three nights for three rooms, after much argy-bargy we left only paying for one night, still cost us ?150 though. It would appear, from what we gleaned from the receptionist, that little is spent in the way of creature comforts thus maximising the owner's profit. The poor woman receptionist was leaving that week being fed up with complaints, don't blame her!
