We stayed for a week in Feb 2007 in the Monet room which was huge! The location is central to everything, we had no trouble walking to most places. Local shopping is excellent as well with less multinational shops and more interesting local stuff. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and quiet.. Read review

We had been looking to book at another bed and breakfast which was full. There are 5 rooms, each named for an artist and decorated in a modern art/deco style. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, attractive, not too ornate furniture, good lighting, good sized comfortable beds with good sheets. Just don't get the Van Gogh room, which was really small and next to a water boiler. B and B is on the second floor of a quiet building and have a great old wrought iron elevator. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours. Danilo, who was there in the daytime was extremely helpful, spoke good English, and made every effort, along with one of the other front desk persons who spoke less English, to call Alitalia for us to enquire about our lost luggage. Breakfast, a pretty basic affair of cereal and bulk croissants, is not stellar but the espresso is good and that knock in your door is a not unpleasant alarm clock.. Read review

We spent 4 nights in the B&B San Cosimato also called Tamara's Suite. The little hotel has 6 rooms, each one of them is dedicated to a painter and very tastfully decorated with prints. We stayed in the room "Gauguin", which was large and the bathroom was also very nice. I hate even slightly dirty bathrooms, but here everything was clean and modern. The bed was very good, not giving you the feeling of a houndred bodies who have formed the matrass. I also had a look to the other rooms: all friendly and charming.. Read review

If you're going to Rome for the first time and want to stay somewhere central to the main sights, then I would NOT recommend the Tamara suites for you! However, if you want a great Trastevere location, this does fit the bill provided you're not planning on spending lots of time in your room and expecting lots of luxuries! As has been commented on before, this B&B is located on the 2nd floor in an apartment building - you have to buzz in from the main street and it's not obvious that this is a B&B by looking at the outside of the building. We stayed in the Van Gogh room which is next to the reception. The water drained really slowly down the plughole in the shower, so if you stayed in for longer than strictly necessary I would fear it would overflow! A very basic breakfast is served in your room, you have to complete a form the day before indicating what drinks you want/what time it's delivered, etc.. Read review

Breakfast was no good.We stayed for four days, and had too change room the last night we stayd there, and it was much smaler. The showerhead was more or less broken in boath rooms
Be sure not to be given the smallest room, you would not enjoy it, even as a single.
Besides that, we had a very good stay, though it was pricy. Oh, and one thing MUST change before I would recommend this BB: They serve nice breakfast in the rooms but this comes with a croissant packed in plastic! This is in Rome and there are great bakeries all around!
The rooms on the street side a re noice for the first part of the night but ok after 1pm. The B&B does not accept credit cards which is an inconvenience. A bancomat is 100metres from the B&B.
The apartment and area were well located in the Trastevere region. We arrived at night and had difficulty reading the sign noting the apartment on the building's door. The room and bathroom were clean however the large arrangements in the vase were very dusty. The wireless worked well from our room. The breakfast included packaged croissants, yoghurt and cereals.
