Crosti Hotel - Rome, Italy 

We booked two rooms in this hotel for our family of four (my husband and I were traveling with our teenage sons), and stayed three nights. While the boys' room with two single beds was a decent size, our room with a double bad was unusually cramped, even by the scaled-down expectations we were used to for European hotels. The rooms were clean but with no charm or personality, whatsoever. The men at the front desks were surprisingly uniform in their lack of interest in being helpful. I would not stay in this hotel again.

We loved this hotel. We stayed in the beginning of July. Rooms are very clean and Paolo and all of his staff are great (Boris and the woman who worked the breakfast room were especially nice!). Great location and Paolo makes you feel like you are family. While staying here we did not feel like tourists. The breakfast was good and the coffee/cappucino was great. Go to the restaurants that the staff reccommend because they will not stear you wrong. We went to the restaurant owned by the same family which is down the street and it was phenomenal! We ended up eating there 3 nights in a row. We will stay here again when we hopefully return to Rome.
