We chose to take my husband's mother here for her 70th birthday. My brother and wife had originally stayed here followed by my Mum and Dad. The hotel is very centrally located and is within walking distance of the main attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the rooms and staff were great. Bit of a struggle getting just a drink out of the bar staff after a meal out, but we managed it! The reception staff were vey helpful and taxis we arranged with them were very reliable with no overcharging. Breakfast was more than adequate and set us up for the day. A word about Rome in general-be careful not to be overcharged everywhere but particularly restaurants. We had a substantial overcharge in a restaurant near the Trevi which my husband resolved. What made this more gaulling was the fact we revisited the restaurant because it was so good the night before, and I'm quite sure we were overcharged in a restaurant near the Colosseum though couldn't prove it as the bill wasn't itemised.

This is a great hotel in the best location possible. Literally 20 steps from the Trevi fountain, but it's on a side street so its not noisy. Ask for a quiet room like we did and you'll get one facing the courtyard.
Its a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon and a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps. You can also walk to the Colluseum but it will take you about 20 minutes.
The hotel staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are spotless. The beds are really firm, but this has been a common experience for me in Italy (I like soft beds). The breakfast is fine. Don't listen to the bad reviews on this site - I would definitely stay here again.
